Shame on the mainstream media that prefers to post photos of Khatami’s taqyia games at the Washington National Cathedral instead of the 1,000-strong rally against his presence, that was held in front of the Cathedral while he was delivering his taqyia.

Hundreds Protest Khatami’s Presence In Washington

Hundreds of Iranians, from different political affiliations, gathered in order to protest against Mohamad Khatami’s presence in Washington, DC and his speech at the National Cathedral. The Islamic regime’s official’s speech and the popular protest took place, yesterday evening, under an unprecedented and controversial security measure instated by the US Department of State and the DC Metropolitan Police. 

The number of Islamic regime’s supporters, its lobbyists and apologists, and the number of naive or mercantilist American participants, at the National Cathedral, has been declared, by the Washington Post, as 1300; while the number of protesters was in reality over 1000. The Washington Post has, somehow, placed the number of protesters as only 200 which is far away from the reality and not a real surprise by remembering how this printed material had a big role in the promotion of Khatami as a “reformist” just till two years ago.

Protesters shouted slogans, such as, “Down with Khatami“, “Down with terrorist”, “Down with Islamic republic”, “House of God, Must kick Khatami out” and “Shame, Shame, Shame” by addressing those who were going in and out the Khatami’s meeting at the National Cathedral. Tens of banned “Lion & Sun” flags and hundreds of placards, showing the human rights abuses in Iran or condemning the Islamic regime were held by protesters. 

Aryo B. Pirouznia of SMCCDI and of INSP and several prominent activists, such as, Roozbeh Farahanipoor of Marzeporgohar were among the protesters and organizers of the inclusive rally. Pirouznia hold several conversation with DC security officials by condemning the protection offered to a man who’s regime is a main sponsor of terror and tyranny.

“He’s a smiley snake sent so you can open your arms due to your fear of a mad dog like Ahmadinejad, this regime knows how to manipulate your mind” Pirouznia said.

“I don’t know how you can sleep when knowing that you protect a man involved in the death of so many and whom his regime is involved in the killing of your soldiers.. What you think you can answer to the wives, daughters and mothers of your killed soldiers?” He added.

Some of the obligated DC Policemen were seen with tears by hearing these words.

Several groups and activists will gather, tomorrow evening, in front of the Mariott Hotel, located in Jefferson Davis Blvd. of Crystal City, VA, in order to protest against a gala-fund raising ceremony, organized by CAIR, in honor of Khatami.

Governor Declines to provide escort, or offer state support for trip Governor Mitt Romney today ordered all Massachusetts state government agencies to decline support, if asked, for former Iranian President Mohammed Khatami’s September 10 visit to the Boston area, where he is scheduled to speak at Harvard University. “State taxpayers should not be providing special treatment to an individual who supports violent jihad and the destruction of Israel,” said Romney.

Romney’s action means that Khatami will be denied an official police escort and other VIP treatment when he is in town.  The federal government provides security through the U.S. State Department.

Romney criticized Harvard for honoring Khatami by inviting him to speak, calling it “a disgrace to the memory of all Americans who have lost their lives at the hands of extremists, especially on the eve of the five-year anniversary of 9/11.”

Said Romney: “The U.S. State Department listed Khatami’s Iran as the number one state sponsor of terrorism.  Within his own country, Khatami oversaw the torture and murder of dissidents who spoke out for freedom and democracy.  For him to lecture Americans about tolerance and violence is propaganda, pure and simple.”

Romney cited a litany of hateful actions by Khatami, including his support for violent jihadist activities:

• During the period of time he was in office, from 1997 to 2005, Khatami presided over Iran’s secret nuclear program.  Currently, the Iranian Government under President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad is snubbing the international community’s request to cease nuclear weapons production.
  
• In the recent conflict along the Israel-Lebanon border, Khatami described the terrorist group Hezbollah as a “shining sun that illuminates and warms the hearts of all Muslims and supporters of freedom in the world.”
  
• Khatami has endorsed Ahmadinejad’s call for the annihilation of Israel.
  
• During Khatami’s presidency, Iran refused to hand over the Iranian intelligence officials who were responsible for the attack on the Khobar Towers that killed 19 U.S. military personnel.
  
• In his own country, Khatami oversaw the torture and murder of Iranian students, journalists, and others who spoke out for freedom and democracy.  Khatami relaxed freedom of speech laws giving democracy reformers a false sense of security only to engage in one of the largest crackdowns in the country’s history.
  
• In Khatami’s Iran, there was no religious tolerance.  According to the U.S. Office of International Religious Freedom, Iran was one of the worst offenders of religious persecutions.  Minorities, such as Evangelicals, Jews, Catholics and others, have suffered.

“Khatami pretends to be a moderate, but he is not.  My hope is that the United States will find and work with real voices of moderation inside Iran.  But we will never make progress in the region if we deal with wolves in sheep’s clothing,” said Romney.

We congratulate Governor Romney for his VERY WISE words.

He speaks truth to power.

We hope other U.S. policymakers will join him in reminding the public opinion who these smiley-faced Mullahs really are.

We are sure that the governor’s statements will fill the hearts of the Iranian people with joy and hope that there is someone important who is voicing their aspirations and concerns and who is not ignoring the situation in Iran.

Her ex-wife Yusnaimy sent us an email stating the following: Yesterday in the early hours, 2.30 am, Dr. Darsi Ferrer Ramirez, was arrested arbitrarily by about 50 members of the Politial Police, dressed as policemen, without shields, in 12 police cars.With guns drawn, they loudly knocked on the door. He was immediately handcuffed and take, without pants, shoes or shirts, who knows where, leaving our 5 year old son alone, as I was at my sick mother’s home. Darsi told them that our son was alone and asked that he be allowed to take him (son) with them. They paid no attention to him. But, before leaving, they turned on the gas and closed the door. La Gestapo nazi-comunista se llevo detenido al Dr. Darsi Ferrer en La Habana. Como si meterlo preso no fuera bastante para ellos, también abrieron el gas de la casa del activista y cerraron la puerta, mientras su hijo de solo 5 anos de edad se encontraba en la casa. Es muy claro que intentaron matar a Darsi pero también a su hijito. Pero algunos vecinos – ellos si que son el verdadero pueblo  – corrieron a advertir a la esposa de Dari que no se encontraba en casa. Lograron romper un vetro y rescatar el nino.
