Nice blog. But who are you, what’s your background, where are you located? Glad to note your definition of secular is not aggresively anti-Christian as is seen so often lately. I am planning to devote a serial posting to the separation of church and state, as there are a lot of misunderstandings in this respect. Want to comment and/or contribute?

Hi!
Nice info, big thx.

There are enough of us like-minded in the world. What we MUST do is unite. Not isolated voices in a wilderness filled with appeasing jackals and packs of Islamic hyenas, but ONE POWERFUL VOICE for freedom. We must organize into a a world-wide network of public opinion to put pressure on our governments and politicians. Implementation ideas wanted. Contact me via Comments at my blog or by posting here or at Jihad Watch.

This blog contains interresting and well written features.
Unfortunetely it is completely politically oriented.
Theses extreme opinions dismisses any possibility of balanced point of views.
By the way, in this context, it is an excellent idea to express the side in the site’s title headline.

Hello
Thank you for your site Resp.
And Happy New Year.

Pactus, I respect your opinion and I am glad you express it without insulting. Also, being a political blog, I have a right to take sides. Blogging is a tool for everyone to express her/his own opinions.
I blog writing exactly what I think, aware that I have a right to say it.
Thanks for your constructive comment, anyway.

freethought, you definitely have the the right to express your opinions and to takes sides. But doing it in an extreme way and influencing other readers does not make the world a better place. I am quite well travel in the Arab’s world, the West and Asia and has listened to different views. All religion & race has their right to preserve their roots, tradition and ways of life. It is alway the extremist (any religion or belief) who make the world so Chaotic. Hence, while expressing one’s opinion, we should have some social responsibility to ensure nobody is harmed directly or indirectly.
Anyway, a great place to gather views from one of the side.
PS. do some search on the net to find out who has the most Nuclear weapon in the world and who is the main producer of weapon and arms. God bless.
February 2, 2007 at 11:03 am |
Jason, I respect your opinion. Just let me clarify that this blog has no intention at all to influence people’s views. I express my opinion and everyone is free to agree or disagree. As to Islam, let me say that I dont care if the Islamists are offended by my writings. If Islam does not learn to accept criticism and even jokes, the Islamic world will keep living in the 7th century.
The Church became secular because many heads were cut off during the French revolution. Today, we must change the heads of many Muslims and Enlightenment can be reached if we stop refraining from criticizing Islam.
I know lots of Secular and anti-Islamist Muslims, and all agree with this concept. They will never be offended by jokes and criticism of Islam. It’s Islamists who are and I don’t care.
I am an atheist and a feminist: I hope that the “traditions” of genital mutilation, stoning, repudiation, wife-beating, throwing of acid in the women’s faces, etc, DISAPPEAR once and for all. I don’t respect these “traditions”. I fight them. They are crimes, not traditions. And as such, they must be fought.
Regarding the Nuclear, I don’t have anything against it. I would like Italy to build nuclear facilities. Israel and the democratic nations would never use the nuclear to destroy other nations.
The problem is not the nuclear. it’s who owns it. Sorry, but I don’t trust terrorist regimes such as that of Iran when they have nuclear weapons.
A democratic Iran will have a right to own nuclear energy. But not th Islamic Republic.

Your site gives me some hope that someone other than Iranians can see what is going on and not turning a blind eye. Your article regarding the Savand Dam is was great. I really enjoy your site. Let me say that this is the very first site that I have seen with such realistic yet unbiased views about what is happening in Iran.
Let me say that your work is being appreciated by all Iranians and all those against theocracy and fascism. Please accept our thanks for bringing awareness to the people of Iran.

300 is a great movie full of visual effects and graphics which made it different and much better.
Acting was great, director did a wonderful job and chose great actors, full of action, and it is based on a true story.
March 24, 2007 at 3:21 pm |
With due respect to your opinion, I firmly disagree. 300 is based on falsification of history. The Persian empire was pre-Islamic and was the exact opposite of the Islamic caliphate. Just to remind you, Persian warriors had fought Islam until death, but unfortunately were defeated.
I respect your opinion, but as a lover of the Persian civilization, I disagree with you on a movie who is full of falsities based on ignorance of history on the part of mr. Frank Miller.

A very good website that promotes a serious and democratic debate. Europe needs a wake up call. Terrorism is a serious issue.
Bravo
April 10, 2007 at 3:46 pm |
History shows like communism and fascism, extreme Islam is utopian because it tries to offer itself as the only answer to all great socio-economic and political problems. In order to achieve that, fundametalist Islam fights to establish and consolidate a true faith via violence and conversion of non-believers. Sharia is the only recognized law. It is evident that radical Islam does not recognize any other ideology or debate. Similar to communsim and fascism, extreme Islam refuses to acknowledge its serious failures and states itself in complete contravention of all actual facts and reality thus declares an unqualified success. Thus, radical Islamists does not tolerate any disagreement or debate.

Jihad is a threat to Global Peace.
April 10, 2007 at 4:23 pm |
The United States of America is the country who defends the freedoms across the globe.
April 10, 2007 at 5:05 pm |
It is evident that we live in a very dangerous and totally confusing world. A very vicious international network al-Qaeda of radical Muslim forces is menacing the global order or Pax America (American Peace)/Globalization by utilizing terrorism as a grand strategy.
Obviously it is very difficult for the average global citizen to grasp and comprehend what is occurring, because of incomplete, incompetent, and most of the time erroneous global news reporting by much of the world media and the distortion of information in our own American democratic political system.

hi,
as you already know I find your blog hilarious.
but these are not “political incorrect” but “US political correct” right-wing
views you express and lable as “free thoughts”. your views are the same
realist views that US has promoted and implemented for centuris and the
hateful noneproblematic “apoloist” rethoric of US war, crimes and methods
as well as of Israel´s occupation. nowhere is there another thougth of the
problem but the “right” one. nowhere is there a respect for that the problems
might be a bit more complicated than a single way of thinking of the world.
nowhere is there a selfdistance. nowhere is there really a free thought but many
replicated ‘”right ones”…
es asi: very hilarious…

I just viewed the picture on the website and can tell you I am disturbed to see Barak Obama just standing with his hands clasped while others are showing their allegiance to the flag of the United States of America!
