ISLAMIST REGIME IN IRAN, ENEMY OF LOVE

From a post at my Iran Yahoo Group: The bitter reality under the Islamist Regime of Iran, where LOVE is a crime

A young couple in a park in Tehran

The Islamist regime’s Police on a daily basis scrutinizing and eavesdropping on citizens’ private lives

The park police approaches the young couple asking for their ID cards as proof that religiously he is not committing a crime for sitting next to her or putting his arm around her

The couple is taken away by the police and their ‘crime’ is love

And the authorities think they can end or eradicate love among the Iranian youth

    Unreal. Who took the photos?

  3. no2liberals says:

    That poor couple.
It’s a low-down dirty shame, that two young people can’t enjoy their lives and the special moments together, that so many young couples enjoy.
Good thing there were no such police around when I was young!

no2liberals, I don’t know what you mean by your last sentence. if you’re iranian, then maybe you mean that you were young before the Islamic revolution.

Why would the officers jacket clearly say “Police Park” in English?

  7. no2liberals says:

Sorry if my last sentence wasn’t clear.
No, I’m not from Iran, I’m from Texas. My point was, having been young once, had we been forced to live under such a regressive ideology, my conduct as a young man would have most certainly gotten me in deep trouble.

    M. Osten, excellent question.

I see, and I agree with you .

It’s all about Iran. Iraq is a diversion. As the army attacks Iraq, the US gov’t erodes rights at home by suspending habeas corpus, stealing private lands, banning books like “America Deceived” from Amazon, rigging elections, conducting warrantless wiretaps and starting 2 illegal wars based on lies. Soon, another US false-flag operation will occur (sinking of an Aircraft Carrier) and the US will invade Iran, (on behalf of Israel).

5th of November, you sounds a conspiracy theorist.

The post, if you noticed, is about repression of love in Iran and you come out with such a trash. Anything to say about the post ? I mean, about the topic the post is about.
