Chinese Propaganda Machine Strikes Again

China believes its latest propaganda move is going to work pretty well with Western nations. And indeed it does. In the meantime, last week, while some leaders were busy telling us how counterproductive may be to boycott the Olympics and how fool was the brave activist of RSF to disrupt a pre-Olympics press conference in Greece, China was arresting and torturing yet another peaceful dissident.

One Response to Chinese Propaganda Machine Strikes Again

  1. Claudio says:

I find it disgusting how the chinese government has saturated youtube and other western blog sites with communist propaganda. The try feed us the same lies they have used to brainwash their own people. On youtube they pose as “westerners”. Every time I write something factual and to the contrary, it is deleted in seconds. They must pay hundreds of these people to flood youtube and other outlets with lies. They make racist remarks about all “westerners”, calling us violent and accuse us of being brain washed by “evil” western media. If they are telling the truth, when posting propaganda videos, then why do they not allow a forum for free speech? My Australian friend met a chinese student on scholarship in Singapore and this kid didn’t even know about Tienanmen. What I find almost comical is that some of the lies are so blatant. It shows exactly how naive these propaganda organizations must be. They honestly think it will so easy to fool the rest of world. Their propaganda is shown in benevolent light. Which makes their lies seem even more foolish to any informed westerner. My only concern is that there are huge pockets of people in the west that are some what ethnocentric and completely informed to any sort of history outside their own country. I dare say, Chinese propaganda will work very well in certain parts to the United States. Even then I think that will be served up not by chinese communists but by the American government for practical business matters of course.

Tibet Not Always Part of China: Chinese Historian

In an article titled “How Big was the Ancient China”, Fudan professor Ge Jianxiong:-

(In translation) … How big was the 8th-century “China”? If “China” means the land of the Tang Dynasty, the Qinghai-Tibetan Plateau, which was ruled by Tubo/Tufan (吐蕃), does not count. Tubo/Tufan was a sovereignty independent of the Tang Dynasty. At least it was not administered by the Tang Dynasty. Otherwise, there would have been no need for Tang Taizong to marry Princess Wencheng to the Tibetan king; there would have been no need to erect the Tang-Tubo/Tufan alliance tablet. It would be a defiance of history if we claim that since the Tang Dynasty Tibet has always been a part of China – the fact that the Qinghai-Tibetan Plateau subsequently became a part of the Chinese dynasties does not substantiate such a claim …Also the following is a petition I signed for FREE THE PANCHEN LAMA.

To: Government of the People’s Republic of China

We, the undersigned, are profoundly concerned about the well-being of the PANCHEN LAMA OF TIBET (Gedhun Choekyi Nyima) the WORLD’S YOUNGEST POLITICAL PRISONER. He was only 6 years old when he was abducted by the Chinese Government in 1995 and has been in captivity for already SEVEN YEARS.

At the age of six, he was proclaimed by His Holiness the Dalai Lama as the true reincarnation of the late 10th Panchen Lama, the second highest spiritual leader of Tibet. Within days of the announcement, on May 17, 1995, the six year old child and his family were taken from their home by the Chinese police and to this day their whereabouts and well-being are unknown.

We remind the Chinese Government that Article 37(b) of the “United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child” to which China became signatory on 29 August 1990 states:

“…No child shall be deprived of his or her liberty unlawfully or arbitrarily…”
