Socialized Medicine Watch: Waiting Lists

August 30, 2007

From today on, I’ll be reporting here about the ‘wonders’ of socialized medicine libs would like to import in America. In particular, I’m gonna mention facts as they happen. Last week, an Italian mother tried to reserve a visit to a specialized dentist for her young daughter. The response she got was that the visit will be on January 25, 2010. Really! This happened in the southern Italian city of Benevento. The local department of the national health service, ASL, announced they will shed light on the case, but knowing how bad things go in Italy, there’s little to expect from this inquiry. The news is in Italian, however you may use an online translation tool or manage to get it translated by someone you know who understands the language.
