What is really amazing about something like this Los Angeles Times editorial (see below) is that those writing it don’t have the least consciousness of the fact that in Arab and Palestinian media, books, politics, etc., there is not the slightest acknowledgement to anything Israelis and Jews say, feel, or have experienced is acknowledged in any way. In other words, they and others demand that Israel be completely balanced–and criticize anything that appears not to be–while not demanding anything of the other side. I might add that I am not opposed to a passage being put in Israeli textbooks saying that the Arabs consider the creation of Israel a disaster for themselves.

The news of participation of Amnesty International (AI) and Human Rights Watch (HRW) in an event in Washington, DC on July 26, 2007, arranged by National Iranian American Council (NIAC), has become a source of profound distress among the freedom loving Iranian and Iranian-American community: a community supporting the legitimate aspirations of the Iranian people for a democratic and secular leadership.

A Mockery of Human Rights by National Iranian American Council (NIAC)
NIAC, a group that has never condemned the human rights violations of the Islamic Regime and is committed to the unconditional relations between the US and the Islamic Regime, is forming a panel discussion to discuss: “Human Rights in Iran and U.S. Foreign Policy Options.” The Amnesty International is among the four sponsors of this event and the representative of both Amnesty and Human Rights Watch (HRW) will participate in the panel discussion.

Grazie alla Digos per gli arresti di Perugia, complimenti al capo della Polizia Manganelli e al ministro dell’Interno Amato. Ma non basta tirare un sospiro di sollievo per il mancato attentato.
